NPFCA organised 17th Free Medical Camp

Kathmandu : Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association (NPFCA) organised 17th Free medical camp at the premises of Bhabisya Ujwal Primary School, Panchkhal-6 Kavre, Dhulikhel on Saturday,11th March 2023 (27th Falgun 2079). The Free Medical Camp was inaugurated by H.E. Charge’ d Affairs of Pakistan Embassy Mr. Umair Ali and Hon’ble Deputy Mayor of Panchkhal Municipality Mrs. Surya Maya Danuwar jointly amidst a special ceremony by lighting the traditional oil-fed Panas Lamp. Nine Nepalese Doctors who graduated from friendly country, Pakistan offered their free services to the patients who comprise poor, needy, dalits, disabled, children, women and elderly. They also received medicines free of cost. Likewise Nine Health assistants also served at the Camp. Nepal-Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association is regularly organizing free medical camps in Kathmandu and Dhulikhel in collaboration of Embassy of Pakistan Kathmandu every year. The Nepalese Doctors examined Child, Orthopedic, ENT, Skin, Gynecology and diabetic problems, among others. Senior Consultant Pediatrician Dr. Ramesh Malla of SMS clinic, who graduated from King Edward Medical University from Lahore in 1985 had served to the patients in the camp with his assistants Suresh Adhikari, Mr. Rajan Silwal, Ganga Uprety and Rabina Pradhan. Dr. Malla had also kindly contributed free medicines at the camp. Senior orthopedic surgeon Dr. Prabin Bahadur Pradhan, who graduated from King Edward Medical University of Lahore in 2001 and Senior Pathologist (ortho) Dr. Bharat Bahadur Pradhan who also graduated from Sindh Medical college of Karachi in 1991 served to the patients. Likewise, Senior Gynecologist & Obstetrician Dr. Bhagawati Shilpakar and other doctors with lab assistants also offered free check up to all the concerning patients who were at the camp. NPFCA is also contributing free medicines to all the patients for at least one month. The patients who were registered in the camp can visit with the concerning Doctors in Kathmandu without paying any doctor’s fees for three months period. The patients suffering from diabetic, blood pressure, neurological, ENT, heart, paediatric and orthopaedic problems enjoyed free treatment and medicines. While arriving at the premises of the School, H.E. Charge’ d Affairs of Pakistan Mr. Umair Ali, Head of Chancery Mr. Muhammad Zakhir Khan and Defense Attache COL Mr. Muhammad Ali Alvi & Madam were accorded warm welcome by local Ward Chief , Headmaster and Students as well as local senior citizens. Speaking at the function, Deputy Mayor of Panchkhal Municipality Surya Maya Danuwar said that the locals would receive quality and reliable health services from the camp. Further she expressed sincere thanks to Government of Pakistan for kindly providing free medical services to old, child, handicapped and poor people of Panchkhal Municipality . She requested to the Embassy of Pakistan to provide Free medical services in Panchkhal Municipality too. Speaking at the function, H.E.Charge’ d Affairs Mr. Umair Ali express happiness and said that Nepal and Pakistan shared cordial relations and the health camp would help to further boost people-to-people bond between the two nations. NPFCA president Dr. Manju Ratna Sakya said that the medical camp aimed to benefit the needy, poor, disabled, senior citizens, Dalits and the people from marginalised groups. Further, Dr. Sakya expressed happiness for organizing Free Medical Services who Graduated from friendly Country Pakistan in Collaboration with Embassy of Pakistan Kathmandu. NPFCA President Dr. Sakya also said that his organisation was committed to boosting Nepal-Pakistan ties through creative activities like the health camp. At the program, HE Charge’ d Affairs Mr. Umair Ali handed over a Computer set to Deputy Mayor Mrs. Surya Maya Danuwar for Shree Bhabisya Ujwal Primary School. Headmaster of Shree Bhabisya Ujjwal Primary School Tara Thapa said that the school children had benefitted from the free medical camp. The doctors checked up the people with diabetes, blood pressure, and ENT, cardiovascular, paediatric and orthopaedic complications. The organiser distributed masks, sanitizers and medicines to the visitors free of cost. The Association has been organising a medical camp each in Kathmandu and Kavrepalanchowk every year. Medicines, masks and sanitisers were distributed to the visitors of the camp free of costs.
